The most notable difference between the HERO12 Black and the HERO7 Black is the video recording specs.
The HERO12 Black supports up to 5K at 60fps and up to 120fps at lower resolutions, allowing high-quality video recording at any resolution. In contrast, the HERO7 Black does not support 5K video and is limited to 60fps at 4K and 2.7K, with significant differences in frame rates.
Additionally, a significant difference is the number of megapixels for still images: the HERO12 Black has 27.6 megapixels, while the HERO7 Black has 12 megapixels, more than double the difference.
