Features

Introduction of GoPro's Exclusive Stabilization Technology "HyperSmooth"

While stabilization technology was available in GoPro HERO6, HERO7 introduced the more advanced stabilization technology called "HyperSmooth." By utilizing advanced scene analysis and roller shutter correction algorithms, it predicts motion frame by frame to achieve remarkable stabilization.

With "HyperSmooth," capturing stable footage as if using a gimbal becomes possible, enabling cleaner shooting even in more significant action scenes.

Introduction of Live Streaming Feature ("Black" Model Only)

The top-tier model of HERO7, "HERO7 Black," introduced the "Live Streaming" feature, usable for live broadcasting on social media platforms for the first time.

With the ability to live stream during action scenes or before/after shooting, it transforms the camera into a versatile tool for live broadcasting on social media platforms.

Three-Model Lineup for Versatile Options

Until HERO4, GoPro offered multiple grades within a series based on specifications. However, from HERO5 to HERO6, only the top-tier "Black" model was available.

With HERO7, the lineup expanded to include "Black," "Silver," and "White" models, offering a range of choices to suit various preferences.

GoPro HERO7 Battery: Compatibility & Battery Life

Battery specs vary across the HERO7 lineup. The flagship Black model uses a removable 1,220mAh battery (AJBAT-001), allowing for extended shoots if you carry spares. The Silver and White models feature built-in batteries that cannot be swapped, making external USB power banks essential for long days out. Note that none of these models are compatible with the larger batteries from the HERO9 or later.

microSD Card for GoPro HERO7: Max Capacity & Recording Time

Supported microSD card capacities also differ. The Black model supports up to 256GB, perfect for shoots requiring multiple battery changes. The Silver and White models max out at 128GB; however, given their limited internal battery runtimes and the White's 1080p-only recording (no 4K), 128GB provides more than enough breathing room.
